In this dark times we all need a little extra warmth, a little extra time for ourselves. To breathe, to land. To just be. Welcome for a day retreat at Tussevollen.
We invite you for a day of inner wellbeing and peace. We meet at 12:00 at Vågnes, just over half an hour north of Tromsø on the mainland. Then we take a 20-minute hike on a forest road to the cabin, Tussevollen (we have snow shoes to lend out, if there is a lot of snow).
The day begins with a short intro & some simple breathing exercises that will allow you to lower the shoulders. After a light lunch we go for a joint walk to Bakvannet, a beautiful lake that is an about 25 minutes walk from the cabin. We also get to enjoy views of the sea and large mountains. At this location, we hold a 10-15 minute quiet time in nature (if weather conditions allow for it).
When we return to the cabin with fresh air in our lungs, our yoga teacher Ruben guides you through a soft and comfortable yoga session that specifically aims to help you calm your mind and body. This is followed by deep relaxation (yoga nidra), a guided lying-down relaxation session that provides the opportunity to let go of all worries and stress. Ruben accompanies with background music from harmonium.
After the relaxation, we get ready for meditation with music & mantra. The sisters Janne & Linn lead the session with pleasant voices and a number of different instruments. Finally, our eminent chef Frank serves a tasty homemade vegetarian dinner. In this way we also get to know each other a little more.
Maybe have a small cup of hot tea before we follow you down to the road again. You come home rested but fully charged.
