Afternoon sled ride

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Villmarkssenter. The perfect afternoon excursion for those with dinner plans, northern lights tours to catch, or travelling on a budget.

You start with a 30 minutes sled ride, safe and sound in the hands of our experienced mushers (the sled will be shared with one other guest). Afterwards we will take you on a guided tour of our dog yard, where you can cuddle our 300 dogs to your hearts content and learn all about the Alaskan Husky breed, animal welfare and dog sled racing. Especially the visit to the puppies is always a hit with big and small! Then it is time to warm up around an open fire in our traditional Gamme-Hut. Enjoy some coffee and home-made chocolate cake, have a look at the souvenirs or say good-bye to the dogs, before we make our way back to Tromsø.

Please bring: warm mittens, woolen hat, goggles or glasses on days with heavy snowfall
