Arctic Spring Dog Sledding - Tromsø VillmarkssenterAddress: 9008 Show map
The last chance of the season to go on a dog sledding adventure. Enjoy an exhilarating combination of speed, magnificent nature and the contagious enthusiasm of the dogs!
As long as the snow cover allows, we will keep sledding on Kvaløya, one of Norway’s largest islands. And if the snow melts early this year, no problem! We’ll simply move the sledding activity to the Malangen peninsula, high into the mountains, where the snow lingers long into the summer. This adds a scenic drive of 45 minutes through the breathtakingly beautiful fjord landscapes to the program and increases the duration of the tour from 4 hours to around 5.5 hours.
This change only affects the dog sledding activity though, you will in both cases visit our center for a guiding of the facilities, playtime with our 300 dogs and puppies and a warm lunch around an open fire in our traditional Gamme-hut.
No matter where the dog sledding takes place, you will be out on the sled for approximately an hour (depending on weather conditions).
On this tour you can choose to ride the sled as a passenger of one of our experienced mushers (Ride option) or drive it yourself (Self-Drive option). In both options, you will share the sled with one other guest. Please note that the Self-Drive option has an age restriction of 16 years and requires a good level of physical fitness. For more information about each option, click on the tour name.
The minimum group size for this activity is 2 persons. If you are traveling alone and we do not receive other bookings, we will either offer you a rescheduling, an alternative activity or a full refund.
