Self-drive Dogsledding in the Bardufoss Region near Tromsø

General information

Dog sledding is the ultimate way to experience the Arctic winter wilderness! Steer your team of huskies through the winter wonderland or sit on the sled whilst enjoying the sensation of being pulled by these strong dogs. "Gee! Haw!" By only a few simple commands you can guide the dogs along the tracks. Your guide will show you how to safely maneuver the sled and be in control of the dogs. After your husky adventure you will be served a traditional stew for lunch. Your dog sledding activity will last for about 1 hour. Duration of the full experience is about 2 hours.

The Bardufoss Region has inland climate with calm and clear weather most days, which provides optimal conditions for snow. Please dress for an outdoor adventure in Arctic winter temperatures! If the weather is very cold, you may borrow one of our snowsuits.



Please note that the dog sledding adventure will arranged on wheels in the autumn, before the snow comes!



Book your adventure before 16:00 (4 PM) the day before.



This experience requires the participant to be in normal physical condition.
