Northern Lights Chase to Private Aurora Camps

For this tour you will be picked up by a large bus (with wi-fi and toilet facilities on board) from Tromsø city center, from where we set off to chase the Northern Lights. Where we head depends on the latest Aurora and weather forecasts and the guides will find the best photo stop with excellent conditions and a scenic backdrop. Our guides are also professional photographers and will help you with your camera settings if needed so you can take your own photos.

After two or more hours, we drive to one of our exclusive Aurora Camps. Our camps each have two comfortable lavvus (Sami tents). Once arrived to the basecamps, we divide into two smaller groups (with max. 20 guests per group), each with their own lavvu and an English-speaking guide. At the camp you will be served hot drinks and a warm stew with fishcakes or sausages cooked over an open fire. Warm winter clothes and tripods will be available. We leave the decision of which camp we go to as late as possible so we can see where the Northern Lights are dancing. After your trip, you will be driven back to Tromsø to reflect on your magical evening.

Of course, we can’t offer any guarantees since the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, but we promise to use all our experience to maximize our chances of a successful chase!

Note! There is no refund if the Northern Lights do not appear, however you may book a second tour at 50% discount.

Please bring: We recommend our guests to dress well with warm under layers of wool and a down jacket. We also recommend you to wear a hat, mittens, scarf and warm socks.
