Riverboat to spectacular Mollis waterfall in the Reisa National Park

NB: Meeting time and place: 12.45 (pm) at the end of the road in Reisadalen, Saraelv. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Storslett (by the E6) to the meeting point - Google Maps

NB: Please note that this excursion does not include transport, so you need to arrange your own transport to the starting point.

Discover Reisa Valley wilderness

The guided tour starts from Saraelv at the end of the road in the Reisa Valley, with departures at 9am, 1pm or 5pm. The only way to get further into the valley is by riverboat or on foot. We take you on a riverboat for a one-hour cruise up the Reisa River to the spectacular Mollis waterfall. You are surrounded by wild nature, steep mountain sides and lush green forest. Along the way, we will also see 4,000-year-old rock paintings. Your local guide will share interesting stories about the area. 

Walk to Mollis waterfall, the highest waterfall in Reisa

When we arrive in the upper part of the Reisa Valley, we will go ashore and walk five minutes to Mollisfossen, the highest waterfall of the area (269 m). The name Mollis is derived from the Sami word ‘Mållejus’ which means ‘something big and strong with a thundering sound’. Feel the power of the mighty waterfall and the untouched beauty of Reisa National Park.

At the campfire, we will serve you some freshly brewed coffee. Bring some food to grill on the fire, or you can pre-order both cold and hot food from us*.

The Reisa Valley is an unspoiled nature area that we highly recommend visiting! 

We provide life jackets and ponchos. Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly but remember the weather can change quickly.

Toilet facilities are available at the lunch spot, at the foot of the Mollis waterfall. 

*Optional lunch can be ordered in advance (NOK 300 per person): locally produced lunch pack composed of wraps with smoked reindeer meat, lingonberry cream, and lettuce; biscuits and cheese, wild berries, chocolate, cakes, rhubarb juice and coffee or tea.
