Stories & Reindeer – Daytrip

Get to know the vibrant Sámi culture during an atmospheric visit to our traditional lavvu (Sámi tent) by Lyngenfjord Hotel. Here, you’ll enjoy storytelling performances presented by Sámi people dressed in traditional kofte – a true taste of Sámi heritage.

Warm yourself by the fire with freshly brewed campfire coffee and enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks while learning about Sámi history, culture and traditions.

Right outside the lavvu, you’ll meet our friendly reindeer. Enter the enclosure, feed them, take photos and enjoy this memorable Arctic experience.

After the reindeer visit, you’ll be invited into the hotel restaurant to enjoy a light lunch in a cosy setting.

When the activities are over, you’ll have around two hours of free time. Relax in the lounge or explore the surrounding area.

Transport:
- Departure: 9 AM (09:00) from Tromsø Bus Terminal, Prostneset. Meeting time at 8:45 AM (08:45). Look for the red Arctic Route bus marked with the “Arctic Route” logo (route towards Storslett).

- Arrival: Skibotn Hotel at approximately 10:50 AM (10:50).

- Return: Departure from Lyngenfjord Hotel in Skibotn at 3:35 PM (15:35), arriving back in Tromsø at approximately 5:35 PM (17:35).

- Return transport with Arctic Route is included in the price, and the journey takes you through beautiful Northern Norwegian scenery.
