Become a Tromsø expert and win a dream weekend for your family
This summer, children in Tromsø can take part in a competition to win a dream weekend for the whole family (two adults, three children) at a selected Thon Hotel in Norway. The competition is all about collecting stamps at ten of Tromsø’s attractions. In a fun and playful way, you will be learning more about Tromsø and be able to win prizes.
How to take part:
Get your “Become a Tromsø Expert” card at the Tourist Information Center or from any of the ten participating attractions. The card is free!
When you arrive at the attractions, you will be given a task to solve. The tasks will all be different and can be a quiz, treasure hunt or so on. It will be great fun!
Once you’ve solved the task, your card will be stamped. At some attractions you might even get a small gift after completing the task.
You need to have 3 stamps to be eligible to enter the competition.
If you manage to get all ten stamps, there are two extra prizes to be won. These great prizes will contain gifts from all the attractions!
The competition runs from 20th June until 20th August, and a lucky winner will be drawn 1st September.

Participating attractions
Competition rules
The card is valid from 20th June – 20th August.
To be eligible to enter the competition you have to visit at least 3 out of 10 attractions.
Each attraction will have tasks to be solved/found etc. Once you’ve figured out the answers, the staff at the attraction will check if it is correct, and your card will be stamped as approval.
To send in your entry: Write your name and e-mail address clearly on the card. Take a photo of the side of the card which shows all the stamps plus your contact information. Get an adult (someone over 18 years of age) to email the photo to [email protected], using the subject heading ‘Tromsø Expert’.
Dream Weekend draw: for Experts with 3 stamps or more. (One winner).
- The winner can choose from selected Thon hotels in Norway (except Britannia Hotel).
- Stay in a family room or equivalent.
- The winner will be contacted by a staff member from Thon Hotels.
- Applies to 2 adults and up to 3 children (age limit – the year you turn 15).
- The stay must take place by May 15th 2024.
- The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
Did you get 10 stamps? You are eligible to join the draw for extra Tromsø gifts. (Two winners).
The Tromsø gifts pack contains goodies from all the attractions. We will send the gift to your home address.
Winners will be drawn on 1st September.
Your personal information will only be used during the competition, and all data will be deleted immediately after the competition is over, according to Norwegian law.
