Arctic Blue Light Tour by boat around the Isle of Tromsø

This tour is conducted by Sørøya Havfiskecruise.

Local Norwegian skippers and crew with years of experience, makes this a memorable, safe and comfortable trip. We use our solid and cozy catamaran MB Havcruise. In the winter time the owners live on board themselves. A maximum of 12 guests per trip provides a social and a cozy atmosphere.

This is a two hour trip which goes around the beautiful island of Tromsø. Due to the weather we might change the route to other wonderful places.

This is mainly thought to enjoy the bright winter colours and scenery of our Arctic winter landscape. From about 21 November to 21 January, Tromsø experience the Polar Night. We also call it the blue light season. This trip is during the time of day when the intense blue light comes out.

Sometimes we see porpoises, white -beaked dolphins, seals, eagles and other seabirds. We often tell local stories, and are open to questions about the city and other things.

We serve hot drinks and homemade cakes on this trip.

We are very serious when it comes to safety. Yearly checks are done to our equipment and boat at an authorized ship yard. All our passengers are well insured on board.

Included: Guide, hot drinks, cakes, binoculars and ponchos if needed

Departure time and place: At 1:30 PM (13:30) from the floating pier by Scandic Ishavshotel.

How to reach the meeting point: Meeting point is beside our boat MS Havcruise (red and white aluminium catamaran, 14,9 meter long and 7 meter wide). We are located behind Scandic Ishavshotel at the outer floating dock/jetty. There are two gangways down to the floating docks. Use the one at the end of the hotel, closest to the open see.
