Arctic Touring Bike Rental Gentleman

General information

Tromsø Outdoor offers custom made touring bikes, specially designed for the needs of the cyclists that are willing to discover the North of Norway.

Arctic touring bikes have lower gearing, perfect for climbs, travels with heavier luggage and for people not used to cycling every day. A frame, tires and rims, a stand, mudfenders, a lowrider and a rear rack are extra solid, made for long distance bike touring.

Bikes are available in frame sizes from 42cm to 58cm having different frames for ladies and gentlemen.
A rear luggage rack can carry a load up to 35 kg. Bikes are equipped with lowriders.
Arctic Touring bike weighs 15,3 kg.‍

Bikes are equipped with:
- Shimano Acera derailleurs (3 × 9 speeds, chainwheel 26-36-48, cassette 11-32)
- 160 mm hydraulic disc brakes
- 2 bottle holders (up to 3 on request)
- reflexes and lights.

We recommend our guests to bring spare batteries. We care for environment and our customers’ safety therefore we do not include spare batteries as we do not have any possibility to control if they they are good for use or empty.

Also included in the rental: a helmet, bike lock, repair set with patch kit, necessary keys for adjustments, replacement tube, pump, lights (mounted on a helmet) and a reflective vest.

In addition you can rent:
- bike bags: rear, front and for the handle bar (handle bar holder follow bags)
- bike cargo and child trailers
- afterbike
- bike racks for tow bars/roof racks

We offer also hotel delivery/pick up in Tromsø and transfer of bikes to any Hurtiboat harbour along the coast between Kirkenes and Bergen (click to open).

SIZE GUIDE:

42 cm XS - user height - 160 cm
46 cm S - user height 155 - 170 cm
50 cm M - user height 161 – 180 cm
55 cm L- user height 171 - 190 cm
58 cm XL- user height 185cm
Note: Arctic Touring models feel slightly larger than Speeders in the same size.
It is usually possible to ride a bike one size up or down from the recommended size, but if you are in doubts order rather bike in smaller size.
