Free Norwegian course for tourism and hospitality staff

As a member of Visit Tromsø-Region, the Tromsø Region Business Association or Tromsø Sentrum, you are now offered a free, digital Norwegian course for employees in the tourism and hospitality sector in the Tromsø region. The course is delivered in collaboration with Folkeuniversitetet.

The course is practically oriented and based on real workplace situations. Participants will build a stronger language foundation for everyday work and will, among other things, learn to:

  • understand and use Norwegian in daily work situations
  • read and follow instructions and routines
  • communicate more clearly with colleagues, managers and guests
  • write simple documentation and reports

Level: A2/B1. The main goal is for participants to reach B1 level or higher. To take part, you must therefore have completed A1 level.

  • Start date: 19 May 2026
  • Digital teaching (Zoom)
  • Choose between daytime or evening classes (twice a week)
  • Limited capacity – only 14 places per course
