We invite you to join us on a fun snowmobile safari through varied terrain, where the locals ride.

General information

This tour is operated by North Experience.

You’ll be part of a small group and get to explore a beautiful natural area outside Tromsø. During the evening tour, you may even experience the northern lights.

Upon arrival at camp, you will be served a hot dinner. Once you have finished, you will get dressed in warm winter gear before the adventure begins with safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow the 20 km snowmobile track, which leads you into the snow-covered mountains.

We will stop during the trip to take photos and play in the snow. You will drive in pairs, with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile, and there will be plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling excursion.

After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we return the snowmobile gear and it is time to say goodbye, or spend the night in our aurora cabins.

Note: To drive a snowmobile, you must hold a valid driver’s licence.

Age limit: Minimum age is 12 years. Children aged 12–15 must also meet the minimum height requirement of 140 cm.

Level of difficulty: Medium

Duration: 7.75 hours, including transfer to and from Tromsø. You will spend between 1.5 and 2 hours on the snowmobile.

Departure time and place: This provider offers two departure options. Please follow the instructions below.

Booking with transfer from Tromsø:
• Meeting time and place: 5:00 PM (17:00) outside Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromsø. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
• Return to Tromsø: approximately 12:45 AM (00:45), after midnight.

Booking without transfer:
• Meeting time and place: 6:20 PM (18:20) at Welcome Hotel Inn Lyngskroa, Oteren.
