When in Norway, you can’t leave without experiencing cross-country skiing, our national sport!
General information
This tour is conducted by Tromsø Outdoor.
If you have never tried skiing before, this is your opportunity to learn cross-country skiing in a scenic environment and relaxed atmosphere.
We start with the basics—how to put your skis on, balance, and glide—on a completely flat area. As you gain confidence, we introduce new techniques and even challenge you with small hills! The tour takes place on prepared trails at the top of Tromsøya island, surrounded by beautiful birch and spruce forests, just a short drive from the city centre.
Midway, we take a well-deserved break to enjoy a hot drink and lefse, a traditional Norwegian sweet snack. After the tour, many guests choose to rent skis and continue practicing on their own!

In the summer we bring our guests out to Explore Tromsø by e-bike.
