Have you ever ride on snow and ice? Now you have a possibility to try!
General information
Tromsø Outdoor offers for rent mountain bike hard tails from Merida with frame sizes 13,5", 15", 17", 19"and 21"
As soon as we have snow in Tromsø bikes will have winter studded tires (Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro). Before that you can rent these bikes with regular MTB tires.
Included in rental price: a helmet, bicycle wire look, repair set with patch kit, necessary keys for adjustments, replacement tube, pump, lights mounted on the helmet and reflective vest.
We do not mount mud fenders on mountain bikes. Remember to have some wind and water proof jacket with you for the ride. Good hat and mittens are also a must and are not included in the rental rate (can be rented separately).

It is usually possible to ride a bike one size up or down from the recommended size.

Guided activities

We can also create tailored experiences for groups upon request.
Rental Centre
For those who prefer to explore independently, the Tromsø Outdoor Rental Centre provides everything you need for your adventure. Our selection includes:
- More than 300 bicycles, including fatbikes and e-fatbikes with studded tyres
- Cross-country skis, snowshoes, randonnée skis and splitboards
- Avalanche safety equipment
- Winter clothing and boots
- Camping equipment, reindeer skins, headlamps, tripods and more
