General information
This tour is operated by Best Arctic.
Just over an hour from Tromso, you will find our kennel, surrounded by majestic mountains and deep valleys, making this safari a truly Arctic experience in Northern Norway.
Here, you will be greeted by happy huskies eagerly waiting to take you on a fantastic dogsledding adventure.
We have comfortable and warm winter suits, winter boots and mittens to keep you warm during the dogsledding adventure (60–90 minutes of driving). After a short explanation (in English) on how to handle the dogs and sleds, you will set off in pairs. One person will be the musher (driver), while the other rides on the sled. You will swap places along the way. The huskies love to run, but you will need to be part of the team and help them on the uphill sections. It is a fun experience, but also a bit of a workout. This trip will leave you with a smile on your face and rosy cheeks. Back at the camp, hot soup and warm drinks await.
Meeting time and place: 11:45 AM (11:45) at Prostneset Bus Terminal, Samuel Arnesens gate 5, Tromso (Hurtigruten Terminal). Please check in at the Best Arctic desk on the 2nd floor.
If you have pre-booked pick-up from Tromso Lodge & Camping: 11 AM (11:00) at the reception of Tromso Lodge & Camping (choose this option during booking).
Included: Return scenic transfers by comfortable coach (1 hour and 30 minutes each way), knowledgeable English-speaking guides, 1–1.5 hours of self-drive dogsledding, thermal winter suits, winter boots, socks, gloves and hats, hot soup, hot drinks (hot chocolate, coffee and tea), pick-up and drop-off from Tromso Lodge & Camping when pre-booked (departure at 11 AM (11:00)).

Number of guests: Min. 2 – Max. 28
Age limit: Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Level of difficulty: Medium. We do not recommend this activity during pregnancy, as the trails can be uneven. Suitable for guests aged 12–70 years, or fit guests over 70 years of age. Maximum weight: 110 kg per person.
