General information

Let's get out on the water and catch some fish! A unique possibility to try kayak fishing in a lake, a slow moving river, or in protected coastal seawaters. We will choose the place taking into account the weather conditions and your wishes. Recreational paddling is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the silence and the beauty of Northern Norwegian nature. With kayaks you get a different perspective, and you can also manage to come closer to sea birds and animals. Guaranteed an experience for a lifetime.

This is an all-inclusive, private tour for maximum four persons. The perfect choice for a couple, a small family, or a group of friends. Bigger groups on request. We have two single kayaks and one family kayak, which is for two adults and one child. These sit-on-top kayaks are stable, safe, and easy to use. You do not need any experience on kayaking or fishing beforehand. But if you have some, we will adjust our tour suitable for you.

You can catch mainly cod and haddock in the sea, and arctic char and trout in fresh waters in our region. If we catch some fish, we will prepare the food on a bonfire. We will also prepare lunch on the shore.

You will be guided by experienced, local guides with plenty of tips and stories to share. Do not hesitate to contact us, it is always possible to customize the tour to your needs.

It is also possible to do a longer trip including overnight in a tent and tent sauna on the shore. Please contact us for price and more information.

We are located in Nordkjosbotn, an hour drive by car from Tromsø toward inland. To make this tour more Eco Friendly, you can arrive to Nordkjosbotn by the regional bus number 100 from Tromsø Prostneset Havneterminal (direction Narvik), departure every day from Tromsø at 10:30 am. We can also organize private transport for extra cost (2000 NOK) if needed. We will meet you at Nordkjosbotn bus station at 11:30 am.

About Arctic Trip

Arctic Trip is a small family company providing northern lights all-inclusive (outdoor activities, icefishing, snowshoeing, skiing, sleeping in a tent or a transparent cabin, sightseeing, photographing) tours in Troms area.

One to several days sightseeing tours with main focus on photographing are also possible. In summertime we do kayakfishing and hiking trips. We are focusing on small groups up to 12 person.

Company owner Roy has lived all his life in Troms, and it has always been important for him to be close to nature. His passion to the northern lights is easy to feel. He has been guiding since 2007, with excellent reviews. His wife Reetta has graduated as a nature guide from Finland, and she is also working in Arctic Trip company. We often invite our guests to visit our home. On our trips you can get to know the local culture and lifestyle.

We prepare local, homemade food on our tours, and use local ingredients when we can. If you prefer vegetarian food, just let us know.
