General information
This tour is operated by Marianne's Passionate Aurora Borealis Hunt.
We specialise in natural and low-light photography, as well as rural scenery, including flora and fauna.
We operate in small photography groups of up to eight people per minibus and take you far away from the main tourist trails. We provide everything you may need for comfort and to capture the aurora shot of a lifetime.
We travel within a 200 km radius, island hopping to the west or heading north, south, east to Finland or Sweden in search of clear skies and the northern lights.
Throughout the tour, we provide full night photography tuition so that you can capture the aurora and the night landscape in all its glory. We receive live updates on the current state of the auroral oval and interplanetary magnetic field conditions. To maximise our chances of finding the aurora, we stay in direct contact with weather forecasters until midnight, communicate with other aurora guides, and maintain two-way radio contact with our sister groups. Over the past three years, we have seen the aurora on 96% of our tours.
To keep you warm and comfortable, we serve hot drinks and a finger buffet, sometimes heated over an open fire. Vegetarian food is available on request. Do you have any allergies to dogs? Please let us know in advance if so.
An extra SD card with photos from the tour can be purchased for NOK 200.
We are professional photographers with many years of experience and a great passion for capturing the beauty of the northern lights and the night sky. Over the past 12 years, we have achieved an average success rate of 95% on our aurora tours. Our vehicles are 4x4 and well suited for Arctic conditions.

About Marianne’s Heaven on Earth Aurora Chaser Tours
I am Marianne, a native of Tromvik, a small fishing village on the island of Kvaløya.
My family first settled here in the early 1700s. As long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the Northern Lights and their mystery. I don’t feel at home unless I’m outside, under the stars or the midnight sun, planning a new photograph to fulfil my lifelong passion. A friend once suggested that I share the wonderful experiences I’ve enjoyed all my life. I’ve been fortunate to find guides who share my passion for photography and who have chased the aurora around the world.
