Night Reindeer Sledding with Camp Dinner and Chance of Northern Lights

General information

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Arctic Reindeer. On this excursion you'll get the opportunity to feed them too. before enjoying a 15-20-minute sledding ride. Afterwards, enter a candlelit Gamme to enjoy a relaxed three-course meal followed by joiking (traditional Sami songs), Sami history and stories. On a clear night, you might be lucky enough to catch the majestic Northern lights.

Itinerary:
-Pick up from the bus terminal inside Tromsø Havn Prostneset (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008, Tromsø) at 17.45 - it is a 25-minute bus drive to the reindeer camp
-Feeding of wild reindeer and walk around the reindeer camp followed by going on a reindeer sledding ride (approx. 15-20 min)
-Hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) around the fire inside a warm candlelit gamme (traditional Sami Hut)
-A cold-smoked salmon starter, followed by a bidos (a traditional reindeer stew) and Sami bread (a vegetarian / vegan / gluten free option is also possible), chocolate cake and blueberry dessert whilst listening to storytelling of Sami culture and how it is to be a reindeer herder
-A joik performance (traditional Sami folk song)
-Guests will have the opportunity to be outside and try and catch the northern lights
-25 min bus ride back to Tromsø city centre. Back in Tromsø at about 22.30

Included: Guide, transportation, 3-course dinner - main course is bidos, traditional reindeer stew (vegetarian / vegan / gluten free options also available), hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) and cookies
Please bring: Warm clothes (at least two layers), gloves and hat, good winter boots.
Departure time and place: 6pm (18:00) from the bus terminal inside Tromsø Havn Prostneset (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008, Tromsø) - Look for blue jackets with the "Tromsø Arctic Reindeer" logo on
