Polar northern light chase from Tromsø by minibus

General information

We travel in small groups because it creates a unique and cozy atmosphere in
addition to making the experience even more authentic.

A mix of experienced Aurora hunters, professional tour guides, and
photographers will lead your hunt for the Northern Lights.

The tour's location is determined by the weather and where clear skies are
available; occasionally, the tour extends to the Finnish borders.
You will never forget this intimate and extraordinary hunt for the Northern
Lights!

The main goal is to let you see the Aurora Borealis while you get a real taste of
the countryside outside of Troms.

Our local guides will pick you up in the city center and take you to beautiful
mountains, fjords, and valleys to begin the tour. During the visit, you could
encounter North Norwegian natural life and lovely landscape, assuming the
weather conditions permit it.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the Arctic, you can anticipate an
unforgettable experience. We will provide you with warm drinks and snacks,
and we will also lend you warm clothing. Your guide will take photographs on
the visit, and we will send them to you the day after the excursion.

You will be brought back to your hotel/accommodation following the tour.

If the sky is very cloudy on the night you have booked and the chances of
seeing the Northern Lights are small, you will be offered to leave the bus and
receive a full refund. We follow the weather forecast closely, so you don’t have
to. If we do not give you a call before 19:00, the tour will go ahead and
depending on the chances of seeing Northern Lights, you will be offered to
leave the bus and get a full refund or join the tour and get the 30 % discount if
you don’t see the Northern Lights.

The route:
Our buses will drive far north, south, west and east to find the Northern Light if necessary.
The maximum distance we will drive towards the east is right over the boarder to Finland
and in the south, Bardufoss.

Additonial Information:
- Northern Light Photos will be available the following day after 19:00 o`clock on our website under the tab «Photos» on purchase (25 NOK per photo).
- We ask guests to bring with themselves gloves/mittens, a hat, wool socks, winter boots and general outdoor winter clothing.
- The warm meal is not a part of the activity, so guests must bring something to eat.
- Tripods are not available for rent or to borrow.
- On nights with challenging weather and low chances of seeing the Northern Lights, guests can decide themselves if they want to join the tour or not after our briefing. If the guest decides to attend the tour and do not see the Northern Lights, they will be offered a new tour with a 30 % discount on the Northern Light tour by bus/boat, whale safari, fjord cruise by boat or fjord tour by bus. If the guest decides to leave the bus and not attend the tour, they will get a full refund.

Included: Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, juice, snacks and cookies, thermal suits, drop off at the guest’s hotel/accommodation.
