A Snowmobile Excursion into the Wilderness – Daytime Tour

This tour is operated by North Experience.

You will get to explore a natural area outside Tromso with great views of the Arctic snow-covered mountains.

Upon arrival at camp, we dress in warm winter gear and begin the adventure with safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow our 20 km snowmobile trail leading into the snow-covered mountains. We will stop during the trip to take photographs and play in the snow.

You will drive in pairs, with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile, and there will be plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling adventure.

After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we will serve a hot meal. After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromso or stay overnight in our Aurora huts.

Duration: With transfer included, the total duration is 7.5 hours (including an 85-minute transfer each way). Without transfer, the total duration is 4 hours. You will spend approximately 1.5–2 hours on the snowmobile

If you book transfer from Tromso, the meeting point is Magic Ice Bar (Kaigata 4, 9008 Tromsø) at 9 AM (09:00). You will arrive at Welcome Inn Hotel Lyngskroa in Oteren at 10:25 AM (10:25). Departure from Oteren is at 3:15 PM (15:15), returning to Tromso at approximately 4:45 PM (16:45).

If you book without the transfer:

If you choose the no-transfer option, the meeting point is at Nordlysveien 404, 9046 Oteren, where the Welcome Inn Hotel Lyngskroa used to be, at 10:20 AM (10:20).

Good to know:

• To drive a snowmobile, you are required to have a valid driving licence with you.

• Children aged 12–15 years (minimum height 140 cm) can participate as passengers. To drive a snowmobile, you must hold a valid driving licence.

• The duration of the snowmobile tour may be adjusted due to weather, snow and trail conditions.
