We invite you to join us in a fun varied terrain snowmobile safari there where locals drive. You will be in a small group and get to explore a nature area outside of Tromsø with great views of the arctic snowcovered mountains.
General information
This tour is conducted by North Experience. Upon arrival at Basecamp, we dress in warm winter gear and begin the adventure with safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow our 20 km. snowmobiling track that leads you to the snow-covered mountains. We will stop during the trip to take photos and play in the snow. You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling adventure.
After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we will serve you a hot meal in a traditional North Norwegian setting around the open fire in a reindeer herder’s tent. After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromso, or spend the night in one of our Aurora Huts.

Please Note - The duration of the snowmobile tour can be adjusted due to weather, snow and track conditions.
If you book transfer from Tromsø:
Meeting time and place: 08:45am at Arctic Route bus stop near the Scandic Ishavshotel. Look for the Arctic Route bus towards Storslett. The bus departs at 09:00am. You will arrive in Hatteng at 10:20am, right next to the North Experience Basecamp.
Return to Tromsø: Departure from North Experience Basecamp at 16:10 and return to Tromsø ca. 17:35
If you choose the no transfer option:
Meeting time and place: 10:15am at the North Experience Basecamp in Hatteng
Participants on this tour must be at least 140 cm. tall.
You must bring a valid drivers license in order to drive the scooter. You don't need a drivers license if you are a passenger.
Guests under 18 and guests without a valid driving licence are not allowed to drive.
