This tour is conducted by North Experience. We invite you to join us on a fun snowmobile safari through varied terrain where the locals ride.

General information

You’ll be part of a small group and get to explore a scenic natural area outside Tromsø, with stunning views of the Arctic, snow-covered mountains.

Upon arrival at Basecamp, we dress in warm winter gear and begin the adventure with safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow our 20* km snowmobiling track that leads you to the snow-covered mountains.

We will stop during the trip to take photos and play in the snow. You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling adventure.

After driving back down the trail and parking the snowmobiles, we will serve you a hot meal. Once you’re all warmed up it is time to head back to Tromso or stay overnight in our Aurora huts.

*Please note: The duration of the snowmobile tour may be adjusted depending on weather, snow, and trail conditions. To drive a snowmobile, you must hold a valid driver’s licence.

Age limit: Minimum 12 years old. Children aged 12–15 must also be at least 140 cm tall to participate.

Please bring: Wool underwear and your drivers license

Number of participants: Min. 2 – Max. 16
Duration: 7.5 hours total (including 85 minute transfer each way)
You will spend 1.5 to 2 hours on the snowmobile.

Departure time and place: This provider offer two departure options. Please follow the instructions below.

Booking with transfer from Tromsø:
- Meeting time and place: 9 AM (09:00) from Magic Ice Bar (please arrive 15min early)
- Return to Tromsø: around 4:45 PM (16:45)

Booking without transfer:
- Meeting time and place: Oteren at 10:20 AM (10:20), at "Welcome Hotel Inn Lyngskroa"
