About us

Your snowmobile adventure begins with a comfortable 90-minute bus transfer from Tromsø city center to the remote Tamokdalen Valley, where our wilderness camp is located. Upon arrival, your experienced guide will greet you and provide thermal suits, boots, and gloves to ensure you stay warm and comfortable in the Arctic winter. Before setting off, you’ll receive comprehensive safety instructions on how to operate your snowmobile, so you can explore with confidence. Follow your guide along scenic Arctic trails, passing by snowy mountains, frozen rivers, and peaceful valleys. Each snowmobile is shared by two people, and you’ll take turns driving and riding, with a midpoint break to switch drivers and enjoy the stunning surroundings. After your Arctic snowmobile tour, return to camp and relax in a traditional Sámi lavvu, a cozy indigenous tent. Enjoy a warm meal and hot drinks by the fire, sharing stories of your adventure with fellow travelers. During peak season, we may split the group to ensure a more private experience, with half starting their tour after a meal in the lavvu. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Tromsø by bus, taking home unforgettable memories of your Arctic adventure.

Duration:

• Morning Departure: 07:30 – 14:30 (7 hours)
• Daytime Departure: 09:30 – 16:00 (6.5 hours)
• Afternoon Departure: 14:00 – 20:30 (6.5 hours)
• Evening Departure: 17:30 – 00:00 (6.5 hours)

Restrictions:

• You need to be minimum 18 y/o and hold a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile.
• Passengers needs to be minimum 7 y/o.
• Maximum one child per adult: each child must be accompanied by an adult. 
• Drivers and passengers must be minimum 130cm in height to meet the safety requirements.
• Maximum weight per passenger is 120kg.
• Pregnant people are not allowed to participate on this tour.
• This tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.
• Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions upon booking. If no notice is given in advance, an extra fee of 150 NOK will be charged.
• Pets are not allowed.

Important Information:

• Self-liability can be reduced to NOK 1000 by paying a waiver supplement NOK 300 per (snowmobile) driver.
• Option to purchase the single - snowmobile supplement: extra charge for solo-riders who prefer not to share a snowmobile.
• This activity requires good physical fitness and comfort handling a snowmobile over longer distances and challenging terrain.
• Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during some parts of the tour.
• The duration of the snowmobiling activity (the time you will spend on the tracks, driving the snowmobile) can differ day to day, depending on snow and weather conditions.
• For the safety and comfort of all guests, our staff reserve the right to decline participation for anyone whose condition or behavior raises a safety concern, including but not limited to intoxication, being under the influence, or unsafe conduct.
• Evening Departure: This tour is not focused on chasing the northern lights, but it offers a great chance of witnessing this natural phenomenon.
