About us

At Abanti, you can explore how Sámi traditional culture and way of life meet the modern world through design.

Designer Anne Berit Anti started her career while moving reindeer from the inland to the coast. In the white winter landscape, she suddenly saw dresses shaped by nature. After that euphoric, spiritual and exciting experience, she decided to become a designer. In 2011, she graduated from art school in Oslo. Today, she is based in Tromsø.

At Abanti, you will find high-quality Sámi design in merino wool and leather. You will also find smaller travel gifts designed by other Sámi designers.

If you want a unique and special travel memory that you will not find everywhere, visit Abanti. You will probably meet the designer herself, working on some of her costume projects.
