Join a fishing trip by boat from Tromsø aboard MB Havcruise, with fishing equipment, local crew and a traditional lunch prepared from the day’s catch.

This tour is operated by Sørøya Havfiskecruise.

Sørøya Havfiskecruise has been operating since 2006 and has many years of experience with winter boat trips in Tromsø. The tour takes place aboard MB Havcruise, a stable catamaran specially built for fishing tourism.

Join the local skipper and crew for a three-hour fishing trip in the waters around Tromsø. During winter, cod is commonly caught, while other possible catches include catfish, coalfish, pollack, haddock and halibut.

Wildlife may also be spotted along the way, including eagles and small dolphins, while the surrounding coastline offers views of Tromsø’s winter landscape.

At the end of the fishing trip, the catch is prepared on board in a traditional Norwegian way and served as lunch.

With a maximum of 12 guests, the tour offers a small and social setting on board.

There are two fishing tours available each day. The shared tour departs at 9:30 AM (09:30), while a private tour for families, friends or other groups departs at 1:00 PM (13:00). The private tour costs NOK 20,000 in total and ends at 4:00 PM (16:00).

The vessel and equipment undergo annual inspections at an authorised shipyard, and passengers are insured while on board.

Departure time and place: The shared fishing tour departs at 9:30 AM (09:30). The private tour departs at 1:00 PM (13:00). Meet at the red and white catamaran Havcruise at the floating dock at Juldagan 12, Strandveien, 9006 Tromsø, approximately a 10-minute walk south of Tromsø city centre.

Fishing trips and Northern Lights cruises in Tromsø aboard our purpose-built catamaran, MS Havcruise.


Sørøya Havfiskecruise is a small, family-run company based in Sørvær on the island of Sørøya in Finnmark. The sea is at the heart of what we do, and our experiences are closely connected to the Northern Norwegian coast. We can also operate from other locations in Troms and Finnmark when needed.



Fishing is an important part of our programme. We offer both regular and private fishing trips for guests who want to experience sea fishing in Tromsø. On our private trips, your group has the boat to yourselves.



The trips take place aboard MS Havcruise, a 15-metre aluminium catamaran purpose-built for deep-sea fishing. The vessel is certified for up to 12 passengers and has a lounge, galley and plenty of outdoor deck space.



We also offer Northern Lights cruises, taking guests out on the water to look for the aurora along the coast.



As a family-run company, our aim is to offer small-scale experiences at sea, based on our experience and local knowledge of the coastal areas of Northern Norway.
