This tour is conducted by Full Steam. Step into Norway’s wild heart – silent forests, endless plateaus and crisp Arctic air that makes you feel alive.
General information
Meet the reindeer up close, feed them, and feel the calm of standing face to face with these majestic animals. Be welcomed into a traditional lavvu, warm yourself by the fire, and listen to Sámi stories and joik that have been passed down for generations. Taste bidos, a hearty reindeer stew, and enjoy hot drinks that bring comfort and warmth.
Your journey: The adventure begins on the third floor of the Full Steam Museum, where you’ll get an engaging introduction to Sámi lifestyle, history and reindeer traditions. You’ll also be inspired to try Sámi-inspired food at the in-house restaurant later in the day, if you’re tempted.

About Full Steam Tromsø
Full Steam restaurant was established in 2018 and is located at Bangsundbrygga in Tromsø.
Bangsundbrygga was built in 1902 as a fish factory. The building is well maintained and fits in well with what the Full Steam restaurant has to offer - story telling about the older fishing history in the Troms region as well as food based on local ingredients from the sea.
Book a table for small or large groups, festivities or events. In total, you can have a group with an à la carte menu that seats up to 120 people or a conference for 100 people. You can also book a guided tour in our museum where you can look, taste, smell and listen to this interesting history.
