Join us on a round trip around Kvaløya, Norway’s fifth-largest island.

General information

Enjoy the views of majestic mountains, fjords, crystal-clear water, white sandy beaches, and small fishing villages. Let us share our favorite places with you and show you the most beautiful spots while providing history and local knowledge along the way.

Wildlife

While driving the coastal roads of Kvaløya, we might be lucky enough to spot eagles, otters, seals, foxes, moose, or reindeer. There will be several scenic stops along the way, perfect for photos and to admire the wonderful scenery. We also take photos during the trip and will be glad to share them with you afterward.

About the Trip

A lunch with local specialties is included, as well as coffee and tea, together with a traditional dessert from the area. Feel free to let us know what you wish to see and experience. The trip can be customized to suit you and your group.

Transport to and from Tromsø city center can be arranged for an additional 4200 NOK.

Minimum age to participate: All ages. If your child requires a child seat, please contact us at least one week before departure.

Included: Guide, thermal suit, boots, socks, hat, mittens, lunch, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and photos from the trip

About Explore the Arctic

We are a small adventure company with 20 years of experience in organising outdoor activities on Kvaløya and in the Tromsø area.


Over the years, we have developed and improved our tours, with an increasing focus on quality and personal service. Our experience and knowledge of the area help ensure memorable Arctic experiences.



During our tours, guests learn about the area, its history and wildlife. We provide high-quality clothing and all the necessary equipment. We also make an effort to visit good locations for photography, and any photos we take during the tour are included.



Since the beginning, we have focused on giving something back to our small community by involving local people and small businesses in what we do.
