Travel by bus between Tromsø and Narvik through the Arctic landscapes of Northern Norway. The route passes places including Nordkjosbotn, Bardufoss, Polar Park and Gratangen and can be booked in either direction.
General information
This route is operated by Arctic Route, part of Best Arctic.
The route operates daily from 1 December to 31 March. The complete journey between Tromsø and Narvik takes approximately four hours, although delays may occur due to Arctic weather and road conditions.
You can book the full journey or travel between selected stops along the route. From Narvik, you can connect with trains to destinations including Kiruna, Abisko and Stockholm. Please note that the bus does not wait for delayed trains.

From Tromsø:
Meet at 8:45 AM (08:45) at Prostneset Bus Terminal, Samuel Arnesens gate 5. The bus departs at 9 AM (09:00).
The bus arrives at Narvik Station at 12:45 PM (12:45), Scandic Narvik at 12:47 PM (12:47) and Quality Hotel Grand Royal at 12:50 PM (12:50).
From Narvik:
The bus departs from Narvik Station at 2 PM (14:00), Scandic Narvik at 2:02 PM (14:02) and Quality Hotel Grand Royal at 2:05 PM (14:05).
The bus arrives at Prostneset Bus Terminal in Tromsø at 6 PM (18:00).

You may bring your own food, snacks and drinks on board.
Luggage: Each passenger may bring one piece of hand luggage that must fit beneath the seat or in the overhead rack, as well as one larger piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg. The combined height, length and width of the larger item must not exceed 200 cm.
Age limit: There is no age limit. Child seats must be arranged in advance by contacting [email protected].
Pets: Pets are not permitted on board. Guide dogs are allowed.
Skis and snowboards: Ski and snowboard equipment may be brought by prior arrangement with Best Arctic. Send your request to [email protected] before travelling.
Important: The stops are not necessarily marked with Arctic Route signs. Look for a red bus displaying the Arctic Route logo, and check the location of your stop before departure.
