General information

Introducing the Arctic Route bus service connecting Tromsø with the beautiful islands of Senja and Dyrøy.

This daily winter route operates from December to March and offers a safe and comfortable way to explore the Arctic landscape.

From Tromsø, you travel directly south to Finnsnes, where the next part of your journey begins. Upon arrival at Finnsnes Express Boat Quay, passengers can continue on the blue route or change to the green or pink route to travel onwards to Senja.

Finnsnes bus and ferry terminal, also known as Finnsnes Express Boat Quay, is a transport hub for bus routes, passenger ferries and coastal cruise ships operated by Hurtigruten and Havila.

The bus offers modern comforts on board and is operated by an experienced English-speaking driver. Travelling with Arctic Route offers a safe and comfortable way to explore Senja and the surrounding region.

Route options:

• Tromsø city centre – Finnsnes bus and ferry terminal – Skrolsvik, Torsken or Mefjordvær on Senja

• Skrolsvik, Torsken or Mefjordvær on Senja – Finnsnes bus and ferry terminal – Tromsø city centre

The buses are white and marked with the Arctic Route logo. The route is operated by Arctic Route's partner, Senja Direct.
