Join a Northern Lights tour from Tromsø by spacious and comfortable coach to one of Best Arctic’s private Aurora Camps in the Tromsø region. Before departure, the team studies the weather forecast and contacts the local camp hosts to choose the location with the best chances of clear skies and seeing the Northern Lights.

The coach is equipped with Wi-Fi and an onboard toilet. During the journey, your English-speaking Northern Lights guide shares stories about the region, the Aurora Borealis and what to expect during the evening.

Each Aurora Camp is unique and may be surrounded by fjords, mountains or coastal scenery. At the camp, you will have access to a warm shelter, toilet facilities and thermal winter suits. Depending on the camp, the shelter may be a small house, wooden grill hut, barn, mountain station or Sámi-style tent.

Your local hosts will serve a light hot meal, hot drinks and a sweet snack. The meal consists of soup or stew, with a vegetarian option available.

If weather conditions change during the evening, the group may leave the camp and continue the Northern Lights chase by coach.

Your guide will also take portraits and Northern Lights photos during the tour. Standard-resolution photos are included and available to download afterwards, while high-resolution versions without a logo can be purchased separately.

If you bring your own camera, the guide can help you with the settings for photographing the Northern Lights. Tripods are available to borrow.

Number of participants: Up to 45 guests per coach

Meeting time and place: Check your ticket for the correct meeting and departure time. Check-in is at the Best Arctic Meeting Point on the upper floor of Prostneset Bus Terminal, Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008 Tromsø.

Optional pick-up at Tromsø Lodge & Camping: Pick-up is 30 minutes before departure. This pick-up point must be selected when booking. Check your ticket for the exact time.

Return: You will be back in Tromsø between 11 PM (23:00) and 2 AM (02:00).

Duration: Approx. 5–7 hours

Important information:

• Children under the age of 4 cannot participate in this tour
• Due to terrain and infrastructure limitations, the tour is not accessible to wheelchair users
• The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed
• If weather conditions change, the group may leave the camp and continue the Northern Lights chase by coach
• Standard-resolution photos are included and available to download after the tour
• High-resolution photos without a logo are not included but can be purchased separately
