A simple and affordable Northern Lights chase designed for travellers who want the essentials. Join our experienced guides as we drive to the best available locations to search for the Northern Lights.

On this tour, you will be accompanied by experienced Northern Lights guides and certified drivers in a warm and comfortable bus. Our guides use their knowledge, experience and up-to-date weather data to choose the best route for the evening, working closely with the driver, who knows the local roads extremely well.

The tour focuses on the essentials: transport to the best available viewing areas and a knowledgeable guide who will explain the Northern Lights, the region and the conditions throughout the evening. It is a suitable option for students, backpackers, families, price-conscious travellers and guests without their own transport.

• Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed
• The tour may be cancelled or significantly changed due to circumstances beyond our or our partners’ control, such as hazardous road conditions, accidents or strikes
• The tour requires a minimum of seven full-paying participants
• If the minimum number is not reached, you will be offered an alternative. If you do not accept the alternative, you will receive a full refund

The company started as Lofoten Guide Service in 2001. In 2006, we established the subsidiary Tromsø Guide Service, based in Tromsø, and expanded further to the North Cape in 2009. Since the beginning, we have been the guide service of choice for many tour operators, cruise companies and the well-known coastal route operator Hurtigruten.



We have established ourselves as a leading guide service and contractor in Northern Norway. During the high season, we engage around 100 guides and offer tours in a wide range of languages: English, German, Spanish, Norwegian, Italian, French and Japanese.
