About us

Vollan Gjestestue is a family-run guesthouse and café in Nordkjosbotn. The café first opened its doors on 4 July 1948 and is now operated by the third generation of the Lydersen family.

The café serves traditional Norwegian home cooking, with most dishes prepared from scratch in its own kitchen. As many ingredients as possible are sourced from local suppliers in the region.

The menu changes according to the season and the availability of ingredients. It includes traditional dinner dishes, soups, lighter meals, vegetarian options and a separate children’s menu. Several dishes can also be adapted to be gluten-free upon request.

Home-baked cakes and other desserts are available for guests who would like something sweet. The café is also a convenient place to stop for a meal when travelling through Troms.
