Drive your own dog sled through magnificent Arctic scenery, with transport from Tromsø, hot soup and winter clothing included.

General information

This tour is operated by Best Arctic.

After an approximately 1.5-hour coach journey from Tromsø, you will arrive at the kennel, surrounded by mountains and deep valleys. Here, you will meet the eager huskies that will take you into the winter landscape.

A thermal winter suit, winter boots, socks, gloves and a hat will be provided. Before setting off, an English-speaking guide will give you a safety briefing and explain how to handle the sled and work with the dogs.

Two guests share each sled. One person drives the dog team while the other sits on the sled, and you will switch positions along the way. The dogs are strong and love to run, but the driver must help them on uphill sections by kicking or walking alongside the sled. The activity therefore requires a moderate level of physical effort.

The dog sledding lasts around 60 minutes. Afterwards, you can warm up with hot soup and hot drinks before returning to Tromsø by coach.
