Easy Dog Sledding from Tromsø

This tour is operated by Best Arctic.

After an approximately 45-minute coach journey from Tromsø, you will arrive at the kennel for an easy and family-friendly introduction to dog sledding.

Before setting off, you will receive a safety briefing and an introduction to the dogs. Two guests share each sled. One person stands and drives the dog team while the other sits on the sled. You can switch positions approximately halfway through, giving both guests the opportunity to drive.

The dog sledding itself lasts approximately 20–30 minutes and takes you through the Arctic winter landscape. With a low activity level and easy terrain, the experience is well suited to families, couples, adults and small groups looking for a shorter introduction to dog sledding.

After the ride, you will have time to meet, cuddle and get to know the huskies. The musher will share more about the dogs and everyday life with a sled team in Northern Norway.

Finish your visit indoors with hot drinks and cookies. Thermal winter suits, winter boots and gloves are included to help keep you warm throughout the experience.
