Join our Electric Northern Lights Cruise and try to spot the northern lights from the dark, silent fjords of Tromsø.

This tour is operated by Brim Explorer.
Set off on an adventure into the darkness of the Arctic fjords and the polar night. We depart from Tromsø and set sail in the direction where the clearest weather conditions have been forecast for the evening. This may be north towards Kvaløyvågen, south towards Ramfjorden or west along the southern part of Kvaløya.
The captain and crew will work together to look for clear skies or gaps in the cloud cover. While we wait for the northern lights to appear, you can stay warm and comfortable in our heated lounges. A selection of drinks is available for purchase from our café.
Throughout the evening, our guides will share their knowledge and personal stories about the northern lights. If we are lucky enough to spot them, you can put on your warm clothes and go outside to admire the aurora in the night sky. Our guides can also help you take photos during the tour.
On the way back, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Arctic city of Tromsø, its skyline and the famous Arctic Cathedral.

We welcome families on our ships and offer activities for children, a children’s menu tailored to younger pallets and a nursery for infants.
Our ship is built with universal design, enabelling guests with disabilities to participate. Guests arriving in a wheelchair will have access to the main deck where you can move both indoor and outdoor on deck and find accessible toilet facilities, the restaurant and information screens.
Our passion for the ocean and the environment is the backbone of our operation. We collaborate with Zing Ocean Conservancy, a non-profit environmental organization working to conserve and improve the ocean´s health and prevent marine pollution. As well as providing sustainable travel, we aim to give 1% of our profits to ocean conservation efforts, starting 2019.
