Experience Sami Culture - daytime visit winter - Skibotn
Experience and learn more about the local sami culture and traditions. Lyngen Sami Camp invites you to the lavvo outside Skibotn Hotel, where you will learn about their way of life in the north.
About us
Skibotn Hotel in collaboration with "Lyngen Sami Camp" invites you into their large lavvo.
Here you will be taken on a magical journey through Sami storytelling, performed by Sami people in traditional dress "kofte".
You will also experience the fascinating art form joik, which conveys culture and tradition in a moving way.
To warm you up in the atmospheric lavvo, we serve campfire coffee and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
This is a unique opportunity to get up close to Sami history, culture and traditions in a pleasant and warm atmosphere.
It will also be a golden opportunity to see reindeer up close, pet and feed them, and take photos together.
