This tour is conducted by Hermes II. The trip is ideal for those who love history, are curious about what life was like here in earlier times, or simply want to enjoy a longer boat trip.
On board Hermes II, this beautiful wooden vessel from 1917, it feels like traveling back in time — and in a way, we really do. Finnkroken has been a registered trading post for more than 200 years, and the island of Reinøy has been inhabited for almost 10,000 years.
We depart from Tromsø with two hours of sailing through beautiful scenery. Along the way, you are free to explore the old boat as much as you like and learn about Hermes II’s exciting history. When we arrive in Finnkroken, local hosts will guide you through the village and invite you to visit the Armauer House from 1802, the church, the museum, the Einar Berger (local painter) exhibition, and much more.
If you prefer, feel free to explore on your own — among the old buildings, along the quay, or into the nearby woods and hills. Reinøy has many pleasant hiking trails that are easily accessible.
The Quay Café is open for light refreshments and offers some local products for sale.

Please bring: Clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Remember, it’s always a bit colder out at sea
