This tour is conducted by Tromsø Outdoor.

Join our passionate local guides on a fun, relaxing electric bike tour and discover the best of Tromsø in just a few hours. We'll take you off the beaten track to our favourite city spots and share stories of everyday life in the Arctic.

With easy-to-ride e-bikes and a network of cycleways, this is the perfect way to explore the city, soak in the scenery, and experience Tromsø like a true local – all while enjoying the freedom and fun of riding an electric bicycle.

Tour Highlights
• Ride our comfortable and powerful electric bikes
• Explore Tromsø’s hidden gems and scenic viewpoints
• Hear stories about Arctic life, culture, and nature
• Visit a mix of city sights and nature areas, including:

- MS Polstjerna (historic sealing vessel – external view only)
- Bukta Beach – Tromsø’s favourite summer spot
- Folkeparken – 1800s open-air museum and farmstead
- Prestvannet Lake – a nature reserve and birdwatcher’s paradise
- Ski jumps – with the best views over Tromsø
- Arctic-Alpine Botanical Garden – a peaceful garden full of exotic plants
- Downtown Tromsø

Included: Electric bike, helmet and reflective vest, experienced guide, hot drink & snack

Please bring:
• Dress for the weather - warm, wind and waterproof
• Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended
• Take with you a small backpack with a water bottle

Number of participants: min. 2 – max. 10
Level of difficulty: Easy / Medium. You need to have some cycling experience and be comfortable on varied terrain.
Age: 12+
Minimum height: 155cm
Departure time and place: 10:00am or 2:30pm (14:30) at Tromsø Outdoor (Fredrik Langes gate 14). Please see the booking calendar for available dates and times.

About Us



Founded in 2006, Tromsø Outdoor has grown from a one-person operation into a company with 15 permanent employees. Since 2021, we have proudly held the Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn) certification – Norway’s most widely used environmental management system. This certification equips us with the tools to continuously improve our environmental performance and reduce our impact on nature.







Guided Activities



We offer small-group tours designed as soft adventures, making them accessible to everyone – from families and beginners to skilled explorers.



Summer (June – September):




  • Explore Tromsø by e-bike



Winter (November – April):




  • Guided snowshoe trips (easy family tours or more demanding hikes on Kvaløya)

  • Cross-country skiing (beginner-friendly ski courses)

  • Guided e-fatbike trip for adventurous cyclists.



On request, we also create tailored offers for groups







Rental Centre



For those who prefer to explore on their own, our Tromsø Outdoor Rental Centre provides everything you need for your adventure. Our equipment selection includes:




  • 300+ bicycles (including fatbikes and e-fatbikes with studded tires)

  • Cross-country skis, snowshoes, randonee skis, and splitboards

  • Avalanche safety equipment

  • Winter clothes and boots

  • Camping gear, reindeer skins, headlamps, tripods, and more
