Join a scenic drive to Sommarøy, with photo stops, Arctic fjord views, possible wildlife encounters and a warm lunch by the sea.

General information

This tour is operated by Tromsø Accessible Tours.

During this trip, we will cross three fjords and drive across the valley of Kattfjordeidet. There will be short stops to take photos and experience nature. Sometimes, we may see reindeer and other animals roaming freely.

The destination is Sommarøy, “the Summer Island.” There, we will enjoy a warm lunch at the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel.

On the return journey, we will take the road along the southeast coast of Kvaløya. During this drive, we can enjoy views of the Sund and the mountains of Malangen.

The tour concludes at our original meeting point after approximately five hours.

Minimum age to participate: None. For very small children, we require advance notice.

  • Warm two-course meal with coffee or tea
  • Transport to and from the city centre and cruise ports
  • Transport by Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus
