You are very welcome to experience our adventurous fishing trips with an experienced fishing guide in the pristine and rich waters outside Kvaløya, west of Tromsø.

General information

We offer fishing trips of different lenghts and levels. Depending on your previous fishing experience and your desires, we will tailor-make a trip that is personalised for you. During the trips we often experience close encounters with the local wildlife, which can include whales, seals, otters, sea eagles, puffins and many other arctic bird species.

During our 3 hour trip we go fishing in the scenic Kattfjord, 35 km from Tromsø. This trip is perfect for those looking for a relaxed try at sea fishing. We will teach you everything you need to know so don’t worry if this is your first time sea fishing. We will also prepare the catch for you if you want to bring it with you.

For the more experienced and dedicated angler, our 5- and 8 hour trips are the obvious choice. Before we start the trips, we discuss which species you would like to target. Our area is well-known for the halibut fishing. Every year halibuts over 2m are caught in our area. The peaks and structures hold big cod and coalfish all year around. There are sandy plateaus which offer fantastic plaice and dab fishing. The area also offers good fishing for wolffish, haddock, tusk, ling, redfish and mackerel.

When you book a package with several trips there will be a dedicated skipper for your group. Ability to adjust start time depending on weather and to move hours between days. We do recommend that if you for example like 5 days of fishing you stay for 7 days and we take the trips the days with the best weather.

The marine recourses are not endless and there are regulations for sea fishing in Norway, which we of course follow and share with you during the trip. During the fishing trip we will also teach you how to handle the catch correctly to improve the quality. We follow minimum and maximum sizes and when it comes to vulnerable spieces, we practise catch and release, as an example, release big halibuts.

We run our fishing trips with Arronet 30 SPT, a unique boat model that we have been involved in developing ourselves. We designed the boat to create the ultimate type for our trips. The boats are 9.4 meters long and 2.8 meters wide. They are built with a focus on comfort, safety, and maximum deck/fishing space. The boats have a center console with seating under a roof for shelter for the weather. They are equipped with state-of-the-art chartplotter, echosounder, radar, and VHF from Garmin. The boats have 2×150 hp Yamaha engines, which means we can quickly reach the best fishing spots. Onboard, there is a portable toilet from Porta Potti.

Sea fishing in Northern Norway is demanding and the equipment has to be of high quality. All the equipment is included and we only use high end gear, mainly from Shimano.

All clothing is included and we ensure you dress properly for the conditions with suitable flotation suits, boots, hat and gloves.

Since the beginning, we have focused on giving something back to our small community by involving local people and small businesses in what we do.

Being in nature is our passion, while photographing wildlife and spectacular natural phenomena is what drives us. Without this beautiful natural environment, we would not be able to do what we do. During our tours, we therefore share the importance of respecting and protecting our surroundings.
