Guided Snowshoe Hike near Tromsø

General information

This tour is operated by Tromsø Outdoor.

The tour begins at Tromsø Outdoor in Tromsø city centre. From here, you travel through a landscape of fjords and mountains to the starting point of the hike.

On arrival, you will receive snowshoes and hiking poles before setting off into the snowy terrain with your guide.

The hike may involve up to 400 metres of ascent. Along the way, you can enjoy panoramic views, take photographs and learn about Arctic nature and life in Northern Norway from your guide.

During the hike, you will stop for a break with a hot drink and traditional Norwegian lefse.

Minimum age: 12 years

Please bring:

• Warm clothing suitable for the weather
• Windproof and waterproof outer layers
• Warm, sturdy hiking boots

Level of difficulty: Medium to challenging

The hike may involve up to 400 metres of ascent in snowy terrain. Participants should be comfortable walking uphill and have a reasonable level of fitness.
