General information

I have been chasing the Aurora since the beginning of the Aurora business in Tromsø in 2006 and have been out on over 2,000 nights to give my guests what they came for... Experience the aurora borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, with GuideGunnar – as seen in 'Jakten på Nordlyset' on TVNorge and 'Dem Polarlicht auf der Spur' on NDR Fernsehen!

Arctic-proof warm boots and thermo suits are available, but I have reduced the number of them, since too many of my guests don’t like to use suits and boots that other people have used before them.

All of GuideGunnar's tours can be run as private trips, but only through requests made directly with GuideGunnar.

Restrictions: 

The tour has an age limit of 15 years and older.

Included: Guide, transport, photos from the tour, tripods, snacks and hot drinks, campfire (weather permitting), return transport to your place of stay in city hotels and AirBnBs (within 5 km)

Please bring: Warm clothes and a water bottle

Number of participants: Min. 2 - Max. 16

Level of difficulty: Medium (It can be a long trip in a minibus)

Departure time and place: 7:00 PM (19:00) from Magic Ice Bar (Kaigata 4)

Duration: 5 - 8 hours
