Hike to Blåisvatnet - With Transfers from Tromsø

Upon arrival at the trailhead, we start our hike to Blåisvatnet, also known as The Blue Pool. This natural wonder is famous for its unbelievably turquoise waters, created by glacial meltwater mixing with the unique mineral-rich rocks of the Lyngen Alps.

The hike is approximately 9 km (round trip) and takes around 3 to 4 hours, following a well-marked trail through rugged Arctic terrain. Along the way, we’ll be surrounded by dramatic peaks, crystal-clear streams, and breathtaking scenery at every turn.

Once we reach Blåisvatnet, we’ll take time to soak in the mesmerising views and enjoy a well-deserved break. A light-packed lunch will be provided, allowing you to relax and refuel while admiring the vivid blue hues of the lake and the serene mountain landscape.

After some time to explore and capture unforgettable photos, we hike back to the starting point, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Tromsø. Sit back and enjoy the scenic return journey, reflecting on an incredible day spent in the heart of Arctic nature.

Itinerary:
• Meeting point 8:40 AM Prostneset Havterminal (https://maps.app.goo.gl/CEgc76kHQKod5ktm8) – to start at 8:50 AM
• Ferry at 10.05
• Arrival to Blåisvatnet parking at 10.40 - Start of the hike
• Return from the hike at 4 pm (16.00) - to take the transfer back to Tromsø.
• Ferry 4.25 pm (16.25)
• Arrival at Prostneset Havterminal at 5.45 pm (17.45)

Difficulty level: Moderate (some uneven terrain but suitable for most hikers with basic fitness)

This activity requires a minimum of 4 participants.

If the minimum number is not reached, the activity will be cancelled 48 hours before the scheduled start time. In such cases, you will be notified.
