About us

Jobb og Fritid Jekta is located inside Jekta shopping centre (Karlsøyvegen 10), Tromsø's largest shopping centre, a short drive or bus ride from the city centre.

We are a specialist outdoor and sports store and have been helping people dress for life in Northern Norway since 1988. Our main products are winter clothing and outdoor gear: down jackets, insulated parkas, waterproof shell jackets and trousers, fleece, merino wool base layers, hats, gloves, mittens, warm socks, winter boots and backpacks.

We carry many Norwegian and Scandinavian brands, including Norrøna, Devold, Aclima and Helly Hansen from Norway, and Fjällräven, Klättermusen and Hestra from Sweden. We are also an official Arc'teryx retailer, with a large selection of Arc'teryx jackets and layers.

Our products suit both locals and visitors: travellers who need warm clothing for northern lights tours, dog sledding or a winter holiday in the Arctic, and hikers, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts looking for quality gear that lasts.
