About us

Jobb og Fritid Veita is located in the heart of Tromsø city centre, inside Veita shopping centre at Storgata 102, within walking distance of hotels, the harbour and the main tour departure points.

We are an outdoor and sports store and have been helping people dress for life in Northern Norway since 1988. Our main products are winter clothing and outdoor gear: down jackets, insulated parkas, waterproof shell jackets and trousers, fleece, merino wool base layers, hats, gloves, mittens, warm socks, winter boots and backpacks.

We carry many Norwegian and Scandinavian brands, including Norrøna, Devold, Aclima and Helly Hansen from Norway, and Fjällräven, Klättermusen and Hestra from Sweden. We also have one of the largest Arc'teryx selections in town, and we are the only Jobb og Fritid store that carries Rab.

Our products suit both locals and visitors: travellers who need warm clothing for northern lights tours, whale watching, dog sledding or a winter holiday in the Arctic, and hikers, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts looking for quality gear that lasts. Being in the city centre, we are an easy stop if you arrive in Tromsø and realise you need warmer layers before your tour.
