Learn the basics of cross-country skiing in Tromsø with local guides, equipment included and an introduction to Norwegian skiing culture.

Cross-country skiing is an important part of Norwegian outdoor culture, and this experience gives you an introduction to the sport in the snowy surroundings of Tromsø.
The experience starts at Tromsø Skistadion, where your local guide will help you get familiar with the skis, boots and poles before introducing the basic techniques of cross-country skiing. No previous skiing experience is required.
Once everyone is ready, you will head out onto the trails to practise what you have learned. The pace is adapted to the group, with time to improve your technique, take breaks and enjoy the winter landscape.
Along the way, your guide will also share stories and insights into Norwegian skiing traditions and outdoor life. A warm drink and Norwegian snack are included during the experience.
All necessary ski equipment is provided.
Minimum age: 6 years

Please bring: Warm clothing suitable for winter conditions, including gloves or mittens and a warm hat.
Level of difficulty: Beginner. No previous cross-country skiing experience is required.
Location: Tromsø Skistadion, Dramsvegen 192, 9010 Tromsø.
Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours.

About SkiTromsø
SkiTromsø is a local company offering guided cross-country skiing tours in Tromsø, with extensive experience in Norwegian skiing traditions.
We provide safe, high-quality ski experiences in small groups, focusing on learning, comfort, and enjoying the Arctic outdoors. All necessary equipment is included, and our activities take place on easy, accessible trails on Tromsøya.
Our tours are adapted to different skill levels and suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. Families are welcome, but children must be able to ski independently, and the activity is not suitable for children aged 0–5. The activity is not adapted for guests with physical disabilities.
During the tour, we serve a warm drink and a traditional Norwegian snack, offering a small taste of local winter culture. We do not offer vegetarian or vegan alternatives. SkiTromsø is not currently eco-certified.
