Explore the majestic Lyngen Alps on a Snowmobile Safari.
General information
This tour is conducted by Best Arctic.
Explore the majestic Lyngen Alps with a local guide on this scenic, gentle and safe Snowmobile Safari, where you will experience Arctic nature at its very best. The Lyngen Alps area offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Northern Norway and serves as a vast wilderness playground with approved and well-established snowmobile trails.
Safety is always our top priority throughout the tour, and we make several stops along the route. The actual snowmobile ride lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and focuses on sightseeing, playing in the snow, taking photos and enjoying the spectacular surroundings of mountains, forests and fjords.
Back at the camp, we serve freshly made fish soup (a vegetarian option is available on request when booking). Before the tour begins, the guide provides a thorough explanation in English on how to operate the snowmobile. There will be two guests per snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch drivers halfway through the ride.
Fun fact! Our Snowmobile Safari is operated by a long-standing family business now run by four generations.
This tour has two daily departures, at 08:30 and 11:30. Both tours last approximately 7 hours.
Guests under 18 years old and guests without a valid driving licence are welcome to join as passengers but are not permitted to drive.
If conditions change, we reserve the right to adjust the duration of the snowmobile ride.
Included: Scenic transfer by comfortable bus and ferry (approx. 70 minutes each way), knowledgeable English-speaking snowmobile guide, 1–1.5-hour snowmobile ride, thermal winter suit, winter boots, mittens and balaclava, safety helmet, pictures from the tour, hot soup and drinks (please request a vegetarian meal when booking), pick-up and drop-off from Tromsø Lodge & Camping when pre-booked (departure at 08:00 for the morning tour / 11:00 for the afternoon tour)
