Midday Snowmobile Safari in the Lyngen Alps

This tour is operated by XLyngen.

The tour starts at XLyngen Resort in Nord-Lenangen, in the northern part of the Lyngen Alps. On arrival, you will meet your guide and be provided with the necessary winter clothing before setting off on the snowmobile safari.

Two people share each snowmobile and normally take turns driving and being a passenger. The guided tour follows trails through the snow-covered landscape and takes you up to approximately 350 metres above sea level, with views of the fjords and mountains around Lyngen.

Along the way, your guide will share stories about the local area, its history and the fishing traditions that have shaped the community. You may also spot local wildlife such as eagles, foxes or moose, although wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

After the snowmobile safari, you will return to XLyngen Resort, where a warm meal and drinks are served in the restaurant.

Minimum age: 7 years

• Shoes and helmet

Please bring:

• Gloves or mittens
• Wool base layers and warm clothing
• Valid driving licence if you plan to drive the snowmobile

Duration: Approximately 3 hours.

Important information:

• You must be over 18 and hold a valid car or snowmobile driving licence to drive the snowmobile
• Two people share each snowmobile and normally take turns driving and being a passenger
• Children from 7 years must be able to hold on to the snowmobile without assistance
• Transport to and from Tromsø is not included
