Northern Lights Catamaran Cruise from Tromsø

This tour is operated by Arctic Cruise in Norway. 

Experience the Northern Lights from the sea on a comfortable small-group cruise departing from central Tromsø. 

Depending on the number of guests, weather conditions and operational requirements, the cruise takes place aboard the catamaran Arctic Princess or Arctic Charm. In certain situations, the experience may take place aboard the yacht Arctic Queen, which offers a cosy and intimate atmosphere. 

The vessels have warm panoramic saloons and comfortable outdoor viewing areas. Relax indoors and enjoy views of Tromsø’s illuminated coastline while the skipper searches for clear skies and the Northern Lights. When conditions allow, you can step outside and watch the sky from the outdoor daybed or lounge terrace. 

With a maximum of 12 guests on each vessel, the cruise offers a peaceful and personal alternative to a traditional Northern Lights bus tour. 

During the return journey to Tromsø, homemade fish soup will be served on board. Coffee, tea and snacks are also included, and warm thermal suits are available for all guests. 

At the end of the experience, you will receive a personalised digital artwork inspired by your Arctic journey and the scenery of Northern Norway.

Please note: 

• Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed. Weather, cloud cover and light conditions vary, making every cruise different. 
• The vessel used depends on the number of guests, weather conditions and operational requirements. 
• From late August until mid-September, the tour departs at 10 PM (22:00) because of the available daylight. You will be informed if the departure time needs to be changed. 
• Warm thermal suits are available on board.

Departure time and place: Departure is at 7:00 PM (19:00) or 10:00 PM (22:00), depending on the date. Please check the calendar for the departure time on your chosen date. The tour departs from the floating jetty beside Scandic Ishavshotel, Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø
