This tour is operated by Hermes II.

Experience the Arctic evening from the sea aboard Hermes II, a historic wooden vessel built in 1917. This three-hour dinner cruise combines Northern Norwegian coastal history, beautiful winter scenery and the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights.

As you sail through the waters around Tromsø, enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and fjords. On clear evenings, you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Even when the aurora is not visible, the peaceful atmosphere of the Arctic night makes the cruise a memorable experience.

During the journey, your Norwegian- and English-speaking hosts share stories about Hermes II and its long history along the Northern Norwegian coast.

A three-course dinner from local fishmonger Dragøy is served on board. The meal begins with a warm fish cake, followed by creamy fish soup and traditional Norwegian lefse for dessert.

You can enjoy the fresh Arctic air and views from the outdoor deck or relax in one of the heated indoor lounges. Warm blankets and thermal suits are available for extra comfort, and coffee, tea and toddy are included.

Meeting time and place: No later than 15 minutes before departure, beside Hermes II at pier 12 on the seaward side of Kystens Hus, Stortorget 1, 9008 Tromsø.
