The Northern Lights Hunter has more than 20 years’ experience in the tourism industry and we are ready to bring you to the Aurora.

General information

This tour is conducted by The Northern Lights Hunter / Ishavstoget.

We provide you with professional guide and driver, warm clothes, tripods, photo tips, hot drinks, snacks and homemade cake. We will also take pictures of the Aurora and e-mail them to you free of charge. We drive in a minibus (max 15 passengers). We can also arrange private tours.

Guests must be able to walk, at least a bit, wear winter clothing ( if possible two pairs of socks, hiking/ work shoes). Access to toilets is not guaranteed. We also have one pair of snow-shoes available, one little sled, and a football.

About Ishavstoget

Hop on to a small train though the Capital of the North Tromsø with the only train ever in town.


City and Panoramic Tour: round trip through Tromsø’s pedestrian street, heading southwards along the waterfront, higher up with a view and back through  historic skansen.



Commentary in Norwegian, English, German, French, Spanish,  Italian, Russian and Chinese. The train runs from 1st of June until 31st of August between 11am and 4pm.
