Enjoy a peaceful evening in nature, far from the city lights, with the chance to witness the magical Northern Lights dancing overhead.

This is a quiet and intimate overnight stay at our winter camp near Tromsø, where you’ll have your own private tent, equipped with warm sleeping gear and reindeer hides for added comfort. With just four tents available, each sleeping 2 guests (3 with small children), the setting is exclusive and personal.

We gather around the open fireplace, enjoy hot chocolate or other warm drinks, and take time to relax, listen to the silence, and watch the flames dance—maybe even the sky too.

You’ll meet some of our huskies—retired sled dogs, playful puppies, or those simply enjoying a night off—and hear stories from life in the Arctic with them.

About Tromsø Aurora Husky

Tromsø Aurora Husky puts adventure and quality first. Only a handful of guests are allowed to visit our kennel. In this focus to deliver quality and create unique experiences for the guests who visit us, we serve local food, and all tents are handmade and hand-sewn by our native Sami people. We serve salted and dried meat that has won awards for Norway's best salted ham. We have handpicked warm clothes and shoes for our guests, made from quality materials.

We believe that our dogs get the best treatment by having fewer guests, allowing them to thrive in harmony with nature and the guests who visit us. Animal welfare is our most important factor in the kennel. Our season is based on three months during the winter in Tromsø, and in the summer, the dogs live on Norway's third-largest glacier, experiencing various adventures and destinations full of joy. When not traveling, they live on a peaceful mountain farm, where they can run freely together as a herd. This is important for their muscles, joints, and maintaining their pack mentality.

We only use Norwegian raw materials; here again, only the best quality is good enough. Nothing is more important than ensuring the dogs are well and live a varied everyday life, with the right balance between leisure and work, which they enjoy the most. I am one of the very few who travel with their dogs around the world to experience adventures together. I love nature, animals, and adventure—that's what I'm passionate about, and I want to share our everyday life and passion with our guests.

If you have mobility challenges, please let us know, and we will adapt the experience for everyone.

There is no age limit for our trips, but please bring the necessary equipment for transporting infants and children. Transport to and from the center of Tromsø is included.
